In this series I want to give the layman an idea about how Astrology works. 
I have chosen to start with something that most all of us know ...Our Sun Sign. 

The Sun Sign is figured with the help of math using the Month and Day that we were born.
There are so many different factors (144 minimum) in each person's chart flavoring each of us in a unique manner.  The Sun Sign is only one of these factors and a good place to start..

This coming Wednesday at 8:30 pm PDT the Sun goes in to Leo.  If you are a Leo or have someone important in your life with a Sun in Leo this may be of interest to you....mate, parent, child, sibling, lover.
I am hoping to give you a broad idea regarding each Sun Sign and what it tells us about someone's make up.  

Even though we are not all Leo Suns..we all do have Leo in some area of our chart.
 

                                                                   

 LEO...The Lion/Lioness                                         
Life is never dull for a Leo. 
Creativity is their middle name. 
They are both creative and abundant. 
Artistic and energetic.  Filled with Heart.  Love of Life.  With a childlike Wonder and Joy.  They make great actors either on the stage or in their daily life.  Watch out for the drama. 
A BIG hint to help you tell a Leo Sun is by the mane of hair that they enjoy.
Their home is often filled with large plants and comfy things to lounge around on.
They are fierce friends and loyalty is their middle name.  Woe to anyone who says or does anything unseemly to one of their family or friends.  That person could experience a symbolic nasty bite or a ripping of flesh to their ego. 
Leo's are loving and proud parents.  They also expect their children to come up to their full potential.  They will hear about it if they don't...all with the intent of Love!
Resourceful..ruled by the Sun they bring warmth, light and love into the lives of everyone they touch. People gravitate toward Leo.  If you want to make points with a Leo..compliment them, stroke their mane or tell them how much you admire their lovely home.
